The Village of Cedarhurst cares about the health and well-being of its residents. With that in mind, we would like to remind you of the continued importance of wearing masks and social distancing.
Covid can sicken or kill anyone, regardless of his or her political affiliation, religious beliefs or socio-economic status. It does not care whether you believe it’s “real” or a “hoax.” If you are positive and shedding virus, you can infect someone you love as easily as infecting a stranger. Any one of us can be lethal.
We must remain vigilant to keep our neighbors, friends, families and ourselves healthy and safe. Masks work. A properly fitted face covering is required whenever you are in public. You must also wear it outdoors when you cannot consistently maintain proper social distancing. It is not just a good idea – it’s the law.
The number of positive cases in our Village is rising dramatically. New York State and the media are watching us closely. If we do not reverse that alarming trend, Governor Cuomo may issue Executive Orders shutting businesses, schools, restaurants and restricting public gatherings even further.
