The final repaving and surface restoration on Washington Avenue between Central Avenue and the LIRR tracks will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2020.
Washington Avenue will be closed from Pearsall Avenue to Central Ave between 7 am to 5 pm on Saturday. Please use the LIRR crossings at Rockaway Turnpike and Cedarhurst Avenue instead.
The entrance to parking field No. 1 on Washington avenue will also be closed. However, you can access this lot from Spruce Street.
We anticipate one additional closure of Washington Avenue when we re-stripe the road. Additional information will be provided once the date for that work has been confirmed.
