Update on NY Pause

On April 16, 2020, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that he believes that the apex has occurred and the curve is flattening.  Specifically, he said that the daily mortality figures are reducing, and the State is seeing decreases in hospitalizations from COVID-19.  This, according to the Governor, is evidence that the NY Pause is working to control the spread of the virus.  Accordingly, all NY Pause restrictions and closures will be extended until May 15th.

Governor Cuomo also issued an Executive Order which will go into effect Friday, April 17th, at 8 PM stating anyone who is over the age of two and able to medically tolerate a face-covering will be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or cloth face-covering when in a public place and unable to maintain social distancing.

The CDC has updated its guidance to reflect this new directive which can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html

We extend our sincerest wishes for good health to you and your loved ones, so that we will all get through this together.
