Snow Alert

We need your help.  Before the snowfall begins, please  PARK YOUR CARS IN YOUR DRIVEWAYS.  We will begin plowing shortly after the snow begins to accumulate. Cars that are parked on the roadway prevent plows and salt spreaders from doing a really effective job. Our plows will do the best job down your street when they do not have to dodge parked cars.

Remember, having clear streets is essential to maintain safe and efficient passage for police, ambulances, emergency vehicles and fire engines.

Stay warm and safe.  Avoid all unnecessary travel.  If you have a NON–EMERGENCY problem, contact the Village at 516-295-5770 and we will make every effort to assist you.

IF YOU EXPERIENCE AN EMERGENCY, CONTACT 911.

One more snow tip.  When you shovel your driveway, toss the snow to the right side of the driveway (when facing out toward the street).  This will minimize the chance of having the snow pushed back into your driveway when the plow goes past your house.

Remember to check on your elderly neighbors, who may need help.
