UPDATE: Repaving Cedarhurst Avenue

We are delighted to announce that Cedarhurst Avenue between West Broadway and Peninsula Blvd hasbeen completely resurfaced from curb-to-curb.  All of this was accomplished over Passover-Easter week, when the Village is at its quietest, to minimize the impact on our residents.

Mayor Benjamin Weinstock explained that “the safety and improvement of our Village is a priority for me and the Board of Trustees.  We will continue to improve our roads and infrastructure within the constraints of efficient financial management of the Village’s resources.  We are already planning the next round of additional paving and drainage improvements.”

In an ongoing program to improve our roads, starting Monday, April 18th we will begin milling and repaving Cedarhurst Avenue, between West Broadway and Peninsula Blvd.  The project is expected to take 3 days with limited access to the road.  During the project all cars must be removed from the street.  You can park in your driveway or on a side street, however when parking on a side street stay at least 50 feet away from Cedarhurst Avenue.  We pave into the side street and want to avoid damaging any cars.

If it is more convenient, you can park in the lot behind Village Hall.

If you have any questions or if you want to park behind Village Hall please call Frank Parise at (516) 295-5770, or email him at village@cedarhurst.gov.
