Remembering Pearl Harbor

Today marks 79 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor and six other military bases on the Hawaiian island of Oahu on December 7, 1941.

This day, a “date which will live in infamy,” will always be remembered not just for our fallen heroes but as a moment that changed the course of history and the role of America in the world.

In honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, all flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sunset. This includes all flags on Village buildings and stationary flagstaffs throughout the Village of Cedarhurst.
