PSEG Tree Trimming

Cedarhurst loves its beautiful, lush trees. Unfortunately, trees that grow too close to power lines can cause power, telephone and internet outages, and even severe safety concerns.

Starting on Monday, March 21st (weather permitting) PSEG will begin trimming trees to provide safe and reliable service throughout our village.  During this project, no roads will be closed but we ask residents who live on the streets listed below to move your cars off the streets during the trimming day. This will protect your vehicle and allow the trimming crews to properly do their job.

Most of this work can be performed from the streets, however at times they will need to enter your property to access their electric wires. They are required to proceed with the utmost care and respect and remove all of their trimmings and debris by the end of the day. You are not required to be home when this work is performed.

PSEG’s tree trimming program will include the following streets:

  • Carmen Avenue
  • Central Avenue
  • Columbia Avenue
  • Pearsall Avenue
  • Spruce Street
  • Washington Avenue

If you have any questions about this project, please contact PSEG Long Island Customer Service at 1-800-490-0025 or visit their website.
