On Monday, December 7, 2020, Mayor Benjamin Weinstock and the Board of Trustees presented citations to members of the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department in recognition of their service. On Octobers 4, 2020 the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department responded to a call for a baby choking and turning blue. Through their immediate and sustained efforts, they were able to clear the obstruction and establish an airway, saving the child’s life.

Beilinson, Deputy Chief Meyer Adler, Lieutenant Shoshona Weiner, Ex Chief David Campbell and EMT Nicole DeSibio, together with Woodmere Fire Department Deputy Chief Ross Rieman, for their dedication and skill. Your heroic act will never be forgotten” said Mayor Benjamin Weinstock.
