The Opioid Epidemic is regrettably real and affects every community. Learning more about its causes, affects and cures is very important.
On Monday, February 18, 2019 from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, hosted by Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department, Councilman Anthony D’Esposito is partnering with Assemblywomen Missy Miller for an Opioid training session. During the training you will be able to share experiences, discuss current events and understand how opioids work. Participants will learn how to recognize an overdose, how to provide rescue breathing during an overdose and how to administer Narcan. Upon completion of the training, participants will be certified to administer Narcan and will receive a free Narcan rescue kit.
