The Village of Cedarhurst was just informed by the State Department of Transportation that a new traffic pattern on Nassau Expressway will begin on Saturday, June 22.
Both the northbound and southbound Nassau Expressway traffic will be shifted from the current travel lanes onto the newly reconstructed south side of the Expressway. This will occur Friday night into Saturday morning. Two travel lanes will remain open in each direction with this new traffic pattern, which will be in place into the fall.
Variable message signs have been placed in the area to alert motorists. As with most road projects, work may be cancelled, postponed or prolonged due to inclement weather.
