Irish eyes were smiling at Andrew J. Parise Park in Cedarhurst, for their second concert of its summer concert series. People of all ages gathered around the pavilion with Irish flags held high. While the Nassau County Pipes & Drums displayed their love for Irish and Scottish music with the beautiful sounds of their pipes and drums. The sounds of their pipes filled the Village while they marched out of the park to make room for Ellis The Funnyman and The New York Showband.

During the concert The Donny Golden School of Irish Dancing took the floor. These young boys and girls put on an incredible performance in a traditional Irish dance that entertained us all. The Donny Golden School of Irish Dancing is one of the premier Irish dancing schools in the world.

Over 60 benefactors contributed to the 2015 series including the Irish Night sponsor Ancient Order of Hibernians, Padraic Pearse Division 3. Mayor Weinstock explained “All of our sponsors play a vital part in making these concerts available at absolutely no expense to our taxpayers.”

Mayor Benjamin Weinstock, The Board of Trustees, and public officials, along with our generous sponsors from local businesses and corporations are very enthusiastic about the rest of the lineup. On July 21st come join us for American Jukebox, with performance by The Sensational Tony “B”, pre-show by Magic by “Alexo”. The complete concert schedule can be found at www.cedarhurst.gov or at the Cedarhurst Village Hall on Cedarhurst Avenue.

Spend some time on Tuesday nights at the Park, while you are there, we invite you to bring your children and grandchildren to enjoy our playground and water park. You will be happy you did!
