Toes were tapping and hands were clapping at Andrew J. Parise Park for our third concert of the summer series. The #1 Tri-State juggler Magic of Lou Johnson opened our concert event with his Big Time Variety Show. Even though it was one of the hottest days of the week, this did not stop Lou Johnson from putting on an entertaining event. His outstanding ability in juggling and his comedian approach to his magic helped make room for an incredible traditional Irish band known as McLean Avenue Band.
McLean Avenue Band is an eclectic mix of musicians that blend together to create a dynamic, vibrant and memorable musical experience for audiences everywhere. A professional, talented and extremely entertaining line-up that boasts very impressive resumes as individuals, to bring you the very best in Irish, Country, Rock and Pop. Their charismatic stage presence makes it impossible for them to be anything other than hugely entertaining.
During the concert The Donny Golden School of Irish Dancing took the floor. These young boys and girls put on an incredible performance in a traditional Irish dance that entertained us all. The Donny Golden School of Irish Dancing is one of the premier Irish dancing schools in the world.
Mayor, Andrew J. Parise and the Board of Trustees personally want to thank Paul Doud from the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Padraic Pearse Division 3 and Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino for making this concert something to remember. On July 23rd Swingin’ with Jay Cee will be performing with a pre-show by The Magic of DiDi Maxx.We also invite you to come and enjoy our playground and water park. You will be happy you did!
