Honoring 4 members of the LCFD

At the February 4th Village Board Meeting the Village Officials recognized Chief David Campbell for his 25 years of service to the Lawrence Cedarhurst Fire Department (LCFD) as a Fireman, Lieutenant, Captain and Chief.

Mayor Weinstock, speaking on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire Village family, thanked Chief Campbell for his “many years of dedicated service to the Village and his fellow firefighters.   We recognize and acknowledge your personal sacrifice, courage and leadership, and we take this opportunity to show you our deepest appreciation for your outstanding service in making our Village a safe place in which to live, work and play”.

Also, at the Village Board meeting, the Village officials recognized and thanked Paramedic Shoshana Weiner, CFR-D Robert Player and EMT Meyer Adler.  While on a fire call, they noticed fellow firefighter, Captain Jack Kelly, go into cardiac arrest.  They immediately, and almost instinctively, began CPR, applied their defibrillator and worked tirelessly to save his life.   The Village was proud to salute their heroic action and dedication.
