Are you worried about the last-minute disposal of Chometz? Relax. Arrangements have been made with Sanitary District # 1 to provide several convenient alternatives:
Drop-off
Garbage trucks will be located at the following areas on Friday, April 19thfrom 7:00 am until 12 Noon:
- Cedarhurst and Lawrence LIRR Stations
- Young Israel of Woodmere
- Temple Hillel in North Woodmere
“All Day Pickup” (between 7:00 AM & 12 Noon)
Trash needs to be placed at the curb in sturdy, securely tied bags. Do not use your regular garbage cans.

Phone-in requests will help make setting up your last-minute disposals a breeze. To phone-in a curb side pickup call (516) 239-5600 from 7:00 am – 12:00 Noon on Erev Pesach only.
