A winter storm is moving in, bringing a mix of precipitation before turning to heavier snow tonight as temperatures drop. Expect 3 to 5 inches of snowfall. Roads may become slick, so please plan accordingly, stay safe, and keep an eye on the latest weather updates!
You can help us do the best possible job. Here’s how:
Keep streets clear for plows. Whenever possible, park all vehicles in your driveway. If street parking is necessary, park on one side so plows can clear as much of the road as possible. Once one side is cleared, move your vehicles so crews can finish the job. This helps ensure safer and more effective snow removal.
Clear streets are critical for emergency vehicles. Open roads allow police cars, ambulances, and fire engines to respond quickly when needed.
Minimize snow buildup in your driveway. When shoveling, pile snow to the right side of your driveway (when facing the street) to help reduce snow being pushed back in by plows.
For emergencies, call 911. Contacting the Fourth Precinct directly may slow down response times, as they will need to route your call to 911.
Shovel safely. Cold weather can make it harder to recognize strain or frostbite. Work at a steady pace, take breaks, and avoid overexertion.
Thank you for helping us keep the roads as clear and safe as possible!
