The Village of Cedarhurst will lower its flags on all public buildings to half-mast on October 7, 2024, in remembrance of the brutal attack on Israel that occurred one year ago. Hamas terrorists killed over 1,200 Israelis and took more than 250 hostages. This tragic event revealed Hamas’ cold-blooded brutality and underscored the threats posed by Iran and its proxies to Israel, the Middle East, the United States, and the entire world. Currently, 101 hostages remain in Gaza, including our fellow Long Islander, Omer Neutra, and six other Americans.
